Dr. Steve Napier

As the dentist and founder of Grand Dental, Dr. Napier leads eight locations while delivering a fun, welcoming experience to all patients. As an Illinois native, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

With 30+ years of experience and hard work building Grand Dental into the kind of practice focused on integrity and community, he enjoys seeing generations of families continue to entrust their oral health to our talented team.

Dr. Napier is married and has three daughters, and is an accomplished guitarist who has played with notable musicians over the years.

Dr. Cole Wells

As a family dentist near Batavia, Dr. Wells leads our Aurora office, which includes specialists, dentists, and highly qualified team members.

Aspiring to become a dentist because of the relationships he could build with patients, he enrolled at Midwestern University and earned his dental doctorate. Since then, he has pursued continuing education opportunities and is dedicated to refining his skills across various specialties.

Outside the office, you’ll find him with his wife, Paige, and their two daughters, Caroline and Quinn. He enjoys biking, walking, golfing, and traveling.

Dr. Abril Rojas

Passionate about science, art, patient care, and lifelong learning, Dr. Rojas believes dentistry to be an incredibly rewarding career.

While in junior high, she decided to become a dentist after talking to her brother’s orthodontist. Discovering how she could bring together her passions and make a difference in people’s lives, she decided to enroll at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, earning her dental degree.

She remains an avid learner, taking continuing education courses through Spear Education and the Seattle Study Club. She’s also an active participant in various professional organizations, including the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

When she’s not busy spending time with her family, she enjoys exploring the city with her Australian Shepherd, Zuli. She also plays pickleball and chess.

Dr. Bruce Abdullah

If you need a periodontist near Batavia, look no further than Dr. Abduallah. With more than three decades of experience, he continues to expand his expertise and remains a highly skilled in-house periodontist and implantologist.

He always knew he wanted to work with his hands and create things, so dentistry seemed like a natural fit. Earning his dental doctorate at Loyola University School of Dentistry, he pursued a Master's and Specialty Certificate in periodontology from Tufts University.

Dr. Abdullah is board-certified and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology. Over the past 25 years, he taught in the Department of Postgraduate Periodontology at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry.

He is married with two daughters, both of whom enjoy playing golf. Although he no longer plays, he coaches them.

Dr. Sam Allen

Helping patients of all ages enjoy straighter teeth and healthier smiles is what makes Dr. Allen an esteemed orthodontist near Batavia.

Knowing he wanted to pursue this field since he was in the seventh grade, he realized how wearing braces changed his life. He wanted others to have the same kind of experience, so he enrolled at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, earning his dental degree and graduating first in his class. After achieving his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry at VCU, he practiced in Colorado before moving to the Chicago area.

He remains an active member of professional organizations, including the Illinois Society of Orthodontists and the American Academy of Orthodontists.

He enjoys his leisure time and is often with his family, including his mutt, Nugget. He works out each morning and enjoys traveling, playing tennis, relaxing on the lake during the summer, and spending time with friends.

Dr. Raya Abu-Zahra

As a board-certified pediatric dentist near Batavia, Dr. Abu-Zahra earned his master’s degree in public health with a focus on health policy and management. Recognizing her passion for healthcare and helping others, she enrolled at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2014 and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery.

She completed her pediatric dentistry residency at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in 2016 and spent a few years practicing in New York City. It was there that she decided to earn an executive master’s degree in public health and a postdoctoral oral health fellowship at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Dr. Zahra’s academic pursuits continued as an adjunct faculty member to pediatric dental residents at New York University’s College of Dentistry. She has completed various research projects focusing on patients with special healthcare needs and has been published.

Outside of her professional pursuits, she is married and spends much of her time with her children. She enjoys crafting, cooking, reading, taking walks, and traveling.
